Your Donations Feed Our Mission!

Your gift of $10 up to $999 are greatly appreciated and can be offered monthly or one donation a year. Our Circle of Friends program is designed to help underwrite our low cost and no cost art programs delivered in the Studio or with our Mobile Art Van.

Your gift of $1,000 and up automatically enrolls you in our Golden Circle of Friends program. Instead of a costly gala we invite our Golden Circle to join us for a Gratitude Reception held each January and hosted by one of our supporters. This year our Gold Circle Gratitude Reception will be held at the lovely home of Bob & Fran Davidson located in Pottery Friends1The Tradition Country Club.

With your valued support we are able bring art to those who need it most, including at risk youth, seniors and other underserved populations. Your gift will help us offer free programming or reduced fee levels for those with financial challenges, and bring art experiences to those without transportation, like many senior citizens and children. You may also choose to designate your gift to any area or organization we already serve. Significant gifts may allow us to add new classes to existing programming or to serve
new groups.

Help provide over 9,000 art experiences a year

In December 2015 Old Town Artisan Studio launched a Capital Campaign to raise $5.5 million to build the “ART PARK OF THE DESERT, Coachella Valley’s Creative Campus” – a community arts and education center. The interactive art park is designed to be completely sustainable with rental studios and event spaces.

In the first six months, the campaign has raised $830,000 and in June the campaign received an anonymous gift of $1.5 million which was immediately followed by an additional gift of $30,000 from Skutt Ceramic Products. Although the campaign has raised $2.2 milion. early October the Board of Directors made an announcement that the original cost to build the Art Park appeared to escalating and a search to find an existing building may be a more economical approach. Two days later the new property was discovered, an offer was made and the new location for the Art Park of the Desert was announced as 78-045 Calle Cadiz in La Quinta.

“It was truly a miracle,” says Victory Grund founder of Old Town Artisan Studio in 2009 “It is the perfect setting for the permanent home for Old Town Artisan Studio and our Coachella Valley’s Creative Art Campus.” The interactive art park has plans to offer a performing arts area, a storytelling mound, painting easels, glass and ceramic studios as well as graffiti wall and even chalk art. “We still need to raise about $1.3 million to cover the building improvements and pay back a private loan, but we are thrilled to close escrow and start our retrofit plans.” continues Victory.

Please let us know if you would like a private tour of the new property during our retrofit process. We anticipate moving into our new permanent home early February.

Old Town Artisan Studio was founded in La Quinta in 2009 by Visionary Victory Grund, and is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit charity. We are grateful to all donors who support our mission. Your generosity makes it possible for us to offer art experiences to everyone despite age, disability or financial disadvantage.
